fiddling with my new GPS Garmin 405cx watch...tonight I'll be sleeping in some hut on a mountain side in Nikko.

My quest is to document Tochigi's great land of beautiful mountains, valley's, rivers, lakes, fields and plateaus. I've decided on hosting my travels on Everytrail.com using the username ZenHostel (mochiron!, desu ne?!) they have an expansive feature set and essential to my taste, the ability to link geotagged photographs to the trail almost automatically.

I will be using two geotagging GPS cameras, the Nikon D90 and the Nikon P6000 (three if i count the iPhone but, the quality is too low).

The sky is blue and this is looking to become a great trip. I can see Mt. Fuji right now from this Tobu Nikko train!

My good friend Dirk is already in the mountains somewhere and i will catch up with him at the hut later.
